What is your experience with this?
i.e. let's say I want to send my photos directly to my PC so that my partner could process the photos while I'm still busy with the photoshoot. How effective does this work? For a Canon 50D the wireless transmitter could cost about R16K, which is a lot of money. Is it really worth it?

What are the odds. We wanted to goto the shops to get some material for my wife to make some stuff. It's after 3PM already and the material factory is a good 45minutes drive away with all the robots and traffic into town.

We can't drive my car cause it's empty and I know the garage will be a bit busy right now. Ok, no problem, use the other car.
Neither can we drive my wife's car since the battery is flat. oh boy...
Luckily my mom's 4x4 is still here, but doesn't want to start. what now? I pop open the bonnet and see the battery terminal came loose. Fixed it, started the car, ready to go.
The gate won't open. I'm sure I put in a new battery a few months ago, and the light comes on. Call the cleaning lady, her remote doesn't work either. I still used my remote yesterday. And to top it off, I can't find the key for the gate motor so I can't even override the motor. AARRRGG!!!! Something tells me we shouldn't go out today

Hi all,

Someone told me some time ago that when he processes photos, he has a watermark layer which he adds to all his photos in batch mode. I didn't ask him how he does it back then, but think it could be handy todo this. However, I can't find howto do this on google.

I know how to watermark a photo. But from what I understand, he had a layer which he just applied to the photos. Does anyone know how todo this?

Hi All,
I'm looking for a solar / LED light distributor or supplier in JHB area. If anyone knows a good company please let me know.
I need to setup a solar powered light that could run 12 hours+ no a full charge. i.e. if there's little sun and the battery doesn't change 100%, then I still need to get at least 12hours light our of it. And I need a lot of light as well.
With the roadworks they have those portable lights that run from a generator and have 4 spot lights, I need that kind of setup, but not on a generator, but rather on battiers + solar + LED powered lights.
There are companies in the Cape who supply such equipment, but @ the kind of money I need to spend, I would rather have a local distributor where I can see / demo the equipment and take back if there's problems with it.
The equipment I'm looking for is:
Solar Flooslamp SFL 4500
10Amp Regulator
24Volt day/night sensor

This is kind of what I'm looking for: http://www.sustainable.co.za/solarwo...ar-lights.html - but in JHB :)

I noticed it a while ago on my friend's new Dell laptop, and now on my wife's new Lenovo as well. It's rather annoying, when you try and close a program you can't just press Alt+F4, but rather FN+Alt+F4 - which doesn't always work that well either.

anyhow, I'm just curious as to why they did this......
