Default Macro & Portrait

I am thinking of getting a macro/portrait combination lens .

can not afford the nikkor 105 macro . looking at the 105 Sigma or 90 mm Tameron

Any comments

I can't help Marius as I don't own any of these. Macro lenses by design are invariably sharp as razorblades. The Tamron ( from what I have read please note) is apparently the sharpest of all the 100mm- ish lenses though.

100mm is a bit long if you want to shoot in the studio
I used a 50mm macro lens in the studio. if you have a big studio it will not be a problem. Most people use a 85 mm for portraits so if you have a 1.6x body the 50mm will work fine. That said the 50mm macro is a bit shot for some macro work.
